Creetown Initiative are delighted to announce that we have now secured the total funds of £2.6m to complete the redevelopment of Johnston School in Kirkcudbright.
The £2.6m secured will be used to create a Dark Skies Visitor Centre and Planetarium, there will be a youth work venue for Kirkcudbright Youth Project, a store and workshop for Kirkcudbright Festivities, a casual meeting space which a number of groups have said they will use, a Gin Distillery and Visitor Centre, a Pottery Business and a Child Care Centre.
Creetown Initiative staff have worked tirelessly to secure this funding for our client Kirkcudbright Development Trust and we are delighted to have achieved our target. We will now work with Kirkcudbright Development Trust during the build phase and we look forward to the centre opening next year.
