In December 2009 we secured funds to carry out a two year carbon reduction project.
The idea from the government was that the project would help reduce peopleβs carbon footprint β which can sound very technical and at times boring! What the project actually did was help a lot of people reduce their energy bills and install renewable energy equipment.
Additionally, a lot of work was carried out at Creetown Primary School to educate the children about saving energy.
Three communities in Dumfries and Galloway took part in this project and Creetown was considered the most successful of the three.
