Creetown Initiative WINS Social Enterprise Award at VOscars!

Creetown Initiative is excited to announce that we WON the Social Enterprise Award at Third Sector Dumfries and Galloway VOscars Awards Ceremony last night, 6th June 2019.

Creative, Forward Thinking and Sustainable

The Social Enterprise category award celebrates groups that involve and support volunteers and is enterprising by generating income for its community or beneficiaries – particularly groups that show creativity and forward thinking to create a more sustainable future for themselves and their community. We were pleased to be shortlisted within the top three organisations and delighted to have won!

Volunteers’ Week

The event was organised by Third Sector Dumfries and Galloway,  coincided with Volunteers’ Week, 1st – 7th June, which celebrates the fantastic achievements of volunteers and third sector organisations across Dumfries and Galloway. The eight award categories were; (Individual Categories) Young Volunteer, Adult Volunteer, Board Member, Outstanding Contribution to Volunteering, (Organisation Categories) Children and Young People, Social Enterprise, Community Group and Inclusion Award.
