Creetown Initiative Ltd is a social enterprise, with the aims of improving life for people in rural communities. To fund our home-based work, we offer support to other groups , primarily in Dumfries and Galloway, but also across the wider area of Scotland. Since 2006 we have grown from an organisation with less than £200 in the bank to an organisation turning over more than £250,000pa.
We now employ 6 full-time and 8 part-time staff and others on a freelance basis.
As practicing community development workers, we have an impressive list of contacts. Specialising in project management and funding, we have direct contact with a number of organisations including; funders, private trusts, foundations, statutory bodies, lottery and others. Over the years we have worked with these bodies building an effective relationship based upon trust and understanding.
Creetown Initiative, is a member of the Development Trust Association Scotland (DTAS).
